I think you did a fine job of capturing the action, especially with the muscle tension in the runners legs and the expression as he barrels along.
Background is a bit busy, but not much you can do there, unless you decide to add some selective gaussian blur. There is something very 3-D-ish about the players that looks a bit unusually intense. I am thinking a lot of structure added in Nik, or pehaps a clarity bump. I am torn on whether I like the effect. I suspect this is one of those processing tweaks that continues to add to the detailed look we can get from our digital images.
