No it is a combo of a Arduino Uno that controls the drop sequence and a 555 timer circuit that controls the flash delay timing. I have a YouTube video about the valve controller. The 555 box is a prototype photogate that I bought here several years ago. The photogate, while it does a stellar job of timing the flash delay it did not allow me to reliably drop two drops. Drop delivery was via an eyedropper through an IR interupter which triggered the timing. I built the valve controller to allow control of the drop string. I can do 1, 2, or 3 drops. I can also control the drop size and the lenght of separation of the drops in the strings that have multiple drops. Here is a link to the video.
