p.1 #1 · Canon 85 1.2L II focusing issue

Is it a common focusing (take a long time) issue with 85 1.2 L II in the low light environment or indoor? It's much slow than my 85 1.8 but it's worse particular in-door. Just wondering, if my copy is bad.

+1, AF lock is camera dependable. f1.2 is the best light in town for any canon bodies beside 50L1.0, lens speed is nothing to do with camera AF lock. Check your light path

Try using an AF assist light.

It's 5D II and using the AI Servo mode. It's not focusing correctly even I used the AF-ON and press the shutter button. It's keeping hunting .. I have more success with AI Focus mode.
