Try getting a pair of hunting golves. They usally have a trigger finger that is perfect for a camera.

I have a pair of gloves made by a company called Seirus, that I got for about $30 from REI. They are windproof and weatherproof, and have a texturized palm, thumb, and shooting finger. I don't what temps they are rated for, but they work better for me than any pair of thicker gloves ever have. If I ever had trouble with them not being warm enough, I would first add a thin pair of glove liners.

I bought a pair of Thinsulate insulated gloves for winter picture making.

They work great and are inexpensive. Get them at Wal-Mart or Canadian Tire in Canada.
