Got these two earlier today, thought the light was interesting, and cardinals have a way of looking almost as much like paintings as photographs. Shot these with a recently acquired used Canon 60D, which I bought to test out image size and high-ISO shooting with. It's going to take a few outings to work this one out. So far, if ISO is too high, say ISO 1600, unless the exposure is dead on, there's a lot of fine-grained noise. If anything, so far it looks like slightly overexposing might be the way to go. Would love to hear what others shooting with this body are experiencing and how they're addressing it. Jan 15, 2012 at 09:44 PM

I really like the spot light effect of the second one. I have never shot a 60d but I would imagine that if you expose to the right a stop when shooting high ISO it would help with the noise. Color and detail look just fine Overexposing at high ISO helps with any camera, so that is the way to go.
