Hard to believe sometimes, but I've never gotten a good shot of an eagle. They just don't come around. Every time I see a shot on this forum with the eagle posed majestically on a branch and staring down the photographer, I go green with envy..

So I finally got one today. This one a female, with her pointed beak and hungry eyes staring straight into me. My end is in sight if I'm a mouse.

Well, OK, not a bald eagle, Maybe not even a real eagle. But a fierce raptor. My end is in sight if I'm a nyger seed.

Nicely done David. I do have to say though that your eagle doesn't look very fierce in that second shot.

2 really nice shots David. The comp in the first is so strong I was reluctant to scroll down. Once I did I was rewarded to a wonderful flank shot. Well done

I see you got the 60D, David. Congrats (if you did)! Looks like it is serving you well. The images show some fine and sharp detail and the blue sky looks pretty clean.
