These 37 minutes represent twilight to dark at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge on Sunday January 8, 2012. All the photos were taken with my D200 and 80-400 VR and fill flash was used for the bird photos. The panorama is made up of 6 images taken at 80mm and stitched using PS CS 5. While I did not get the big flocks of geese I was hoping for with the full moon and sunset, it was still a delight being out in this wonderful oasis from the concrete jungle.
Comments and suggestions welcome,
Morris
Ps, exif data is intact for those that are curious
They are evocative. 2, 5 and 8 for me. 6 is a great feeling, but I felt it needed some land in it.
2 evokes a soft warmth that I find pleasing.
5, 7, and 8 are similar subjects. I like the bright contrasts in 5. 7, more dusky, is nice too. It all seems to come together in 8 for me, with the water included. I would like to see more sky in 8, as in 5 and 7, but 8 seems to me to be a very fine expression.
