After 9 years with my current Win XP box, I resolve to modernize my computer setup, before anything else.
I know it sounds "not resolution-y", but being an individual that's very set in his ways, especially as regards to assets that depreciate to effectively zero, this is something I've put off for too long.
Collect mo' gear, spend mo' time fondling said gear and waste mo' time bitchin' 'bout back focus and missing serial numbers on FM! Oh, and, using L optics, post mo' images of ugly babies, dull cats and fluffy SOs!
Make some progress on the 14k images in my "incoming" directory. Unlikely to happen though, looking at how much work i have to do in the coming months.
Rework my workflow. Too many ineffencies tend to creep in making the journey from shooting to delivering much more work and much more costly time wise than it needs to be.
Start a 'keeper' file, one or two photos (max) from every outing that worked best and then have them printed. I'm swamped with digital images (some great, some that should be in the trash) that no one ever sees. I figure if I commit to printing images worth sharing, I've gained a reminder of some success and my family/friends gain a tactile experience too.
Happy 2012,
-Cam
I resolve to improve my web site. Right now, it's full of mostly nerdy stuff. The only thing that's updated regularly is the lens price database. This year, I will produce a primo gallery site, and sell lots of images through it.
Buy a whole bunch of shit. Replace the "dated" as some fools on here are saying 1d3's.
Buy a lens or two. Two 1 series bodies. Take a bunch Of pictures. Make more money.
I know on the definite list is a "travel" light kit that I can have everywhere I go. By travel I don't mean low quality. I just mean more portable than what I'm carrying now.
