Of course "both" is the best answer, but you clearly don't want to spend close to $4K, so you might consider the zoom + the 85/1.8. As much as I like the 1.2L, the 1.8 will get you a lot of the buttery bokeh you'll be missing from the zoom. I firmly believe that the 1.2L MKII is an overall better lens than the 1.8 (so don't open that can of worms), but the 1.8 isn't a slouch and will make up for much of what you lose taking the zoom-only option.

Also, it's good FM etiquette to stop by and post some feedback to the responses you've received to a question you've posted!!

Hi I need help, those two lens, which one you like and why? thanks!

I have both lenses. As mentioned, the 85L II is a specialty lens, although not limited to portraits. The 70-200/2.8L IS II is excellent and versatile. I figure that versatile rules, at least for starters.

Here's two recent examples of BIF with the 85L II on 1DIV in the first image, and the 70-200/2.8L IS II + 1DIV in the second image. I expect the zoom could have taken either photo, but the 85L II would have had difficulty getting the second one.
