Since you asked in a previous thread the Nikon TC will only work with AFI or AFS lenses. Repair parts for AFI lenses are unavailable, so something to else to consider when deciding what lens to get.

New is faster but the AF-i is not really slow by any means, the older screw drive will be slower however
