Trying to figure out if there is a problem or if this is normal. In the close range of the focusing ring with IS set to 1 and autofocus on, when attempting to fine tune the focus (focusing ring) there seems to be a hitch. It almost feels like the glass is doing a shift.

Is that normal for this lens?
Just checked my 70-200 f4 IS copy, both with IS on and off, I don't feel anything like that.

I've never felt anything like that with mine either. If its in warranty, get it serviced. It may be a sign of something failing, so its usually better to get a repair done sooner rather than later.
