I feel your pain! Knowing what the light is like in the tiger reserves I think you just have to be incredibly lucky or have an unlimited amount of time to capture those crisp, close, low ISO shots that we dream about. Saying that, I think you did a fine job and when you realize the vast majority of people never even see a tiger on their safari, consider yourself one of the lucky ones. The kingfisher and owl shots are very nice as is the running boar image.

Thanks Eric. Yes, I can't complain since wildlife sightings are unpredictable.
Been there a few times, but only on business, your photos may kick start me to go back with a camera. Shooting a Tiger in the wild would be awsome. Congrats.

Thanks Tim. Getting good tiger shots is a combination of luck, skill and time. When you come face to face with the Bengal Tiger in the wild, at least through the viewfinder, it is truly an awesome experience.
Coming to this thread late. Awesome shots. Some details would be appreciated. Which park--Corbett, Ranthanbore or some other. What month? For the tiger shots how close were you, -- a 400mm lens? Sorry about so many questions .
Thanks
Vijay

Hi Vijay. Thanks for your comment. The shots were taken in Banghavgarh and Kanha NP. I was there in late November. The sightings were OK but the lighting was poor. I am going again in March to take advantage of the hotter weather. I used the Canon 7D and 1D MK IV bodies and 400mm f/4 DO and 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS lenses. Take a look at my article on photographing Tigers in India. http://MichaelDanielHo.com/mdh-16.html
Nice set - #1 is my favorite. I use to visit these parks a few years back and seeing and hearing these magnificent cats in the wild is a thrill. You should like it better in March as the will be less green - definitely worth putting up with the heat! Dave
