This is the non-DG version. They are both optically identical with performance dependent on the sample variation rather than "DG" or "NON-DG". And this is an EXCELLENT performer!!!
The lens cosmetics are very good - it's between 8+ and 9. If you are familiar with KEH ratings, this would be EX condition. Please follow the link to the pictures and you can see some paint wear on the edges.
The glass is perfect with no scratches, haze, fungus. There might be few dust specs, but not noticeable with bare eye.
Fast and accurate AF, smooth zoom and focus action.
The lens performs like new and is VERY SHARP even at 300@2.8
