Interesting series.
The third stands out to me more its bleakness and an uncertain but interesting sense of scale.
I like the format you chose to present as well, Chris.

Thank you Scott. I try to stick with 2:3 ratio but there is something about 6:7 I really like.
Specially for landscape. Although I still have to order a special passe-partout to actually print something at that ratio.

Chris- I've come back to this a couple of times. It's a curious series of a curious place.
Critique-wise, may I suggest (in #3) a crop down to just above the wide, narrow grey cloud?
Above that cloud seems to offer little- IMO.

Hi Charlie, I will post later an image of the landscape to make it less curious.
The darker cloud in #3 is curious but the other images have also curious elements. That's why I didn't crop it out and I wonted them to have the same format.
But to be honest, I really liked the first image and tried to capture some more to go with it.
