I love those IR images! Great eye, I'm glad you captured this. The foreground shrub anchors the shot giving depth and nicely offsets the downpour on the right. My preference is the untoned version. Very dramatic!

Magical ! Are these clouds or is it a sandstorm ?

Thanks so much and glad I was able to find that shrub. The storm was moving fast and I only had a couple of minutes to shoot.

Thanks and I was watching these build over the Jemez and decided to make a breaks for Abiquiu. This storm was stilll in its growth stage and i was lucky to get on the back side of it before all heck broke lose with it.

Thanks and only ave the IR version of this. The storm was moving so fast I managed only a few shot from here and by the time I had got my reg DSLR it had turned into a HP downpour and all of the nice rainshaft detail was gone.
