I for one certaily like very much to be able to see pictures people take with different Canon gears as long as there is some unifying theme or a method to such image presentation.
In addition, sometimes there are perhaps particular gear features we hope to illustrate such as bokeh, sharpness, peripheral aberrations, AF speed or whatever. Even then, usually a 1/2 a dozen images or so suffices.
It is also quite customary on this board to start a topic with the idea such as "look, I just got this lens, and here are a few images which show why I am happy with it."
In your thread's case, what I see is a very large and rambling collection of seemingly random images posted which generally have a very tenuous gear relevance. Therefore, my suggestion is to narrow the focus of your presentation, and reduce a number of images posted to those which showcase the lens more strongly.
Lastly, it would also help if you'd avoid mixing Nikon lens nomenclature into Canon lens names because that is a bit distracting, if not confusing.
Gregory, thanks for sharing! I think it's very interesting to see your shots from gear most of us don't have and use everyday. I would be interested to see some of your shots with the 300/2.0, is there any chance I could find them in the Nikon forum? Thanks, and anyway, welcome in the world of EOSfun !
Gpop, thank you kindly. I appreciate your support.
My only regret is that I have been working /teaching so much I havnt had much time to go shooting. Got out today for a bit. The light was really flat and grey.
I got to say I am really enjoying the 200 1.8 EF L 5D2 combo. I am getting the hang the using the one shot AF setting. Basicilly focus recompose. It's like shooting with the Leica's
The IQ from the 200 1.8 EF L and the 5D2 combo is insane.
Ryan, thanks for stopping by and for having my back. Very cool.
Acutually I am happy with the reception from FM Canon group for the most part.
And glad to say I have made some new friends.
It can't be easy having someone with the handle "Nikkor AIS" come in with one of Canon legendary lenses and start his own thread.
I assure everyone Im not doing this thread to rub it.
Like many of you have commment. It's nice to see images from glass that we lust for but might not own.
This whole Canon vs Nikon war is total B.S . And I intend on using my Nikkor glass with the 5D2 body.
In fact my pal David is dropping off the adaptor tonight.
And just for the record. I apprecaite all the help full insights about how to have successsfull thread. But believe it or not, I have had some success posting in other places. I see no reason why it won't work here. Nikkor 28 1.4 AF-D, Nikkor 300 2.0 IF-ED AI-S, Nikkor 8mm 2.8 IF-ED AI-S. The world @ 1.0 ..OO on the Nikon Cafe .
And several other's on the rangefinder forum , the 28 1.8 ASPH Voightlander..OO ..
So while some might like it feel free to enjoy the thread or put me on the ignore list. Im good either way.
Oh, by the way, several people have PM/ Emailed me expressing interest in a head to head comparison of the Nikkor 200 2.0 IF-ED AI-S which I also own. So I will do a post on when I get some images . I dont want to spend a lot of time on that but I for one would be interested how the two lenses would compare.
Doing head to head comparsons are lot of work and not that much fun. But would be interesting to see.
And If I am able to borrow a Nikkor 200 2.0 IF-ED AFS from a pal ...Ryan , I might consider adding that to the line up.
I just want to say I really do apprecaite all the support Iv been given.
Also I got some Hockey tournaments coming up so I will shooting/sharing some sports images as well.
Not to mention a Martail arts project I am working on.
Now for the good part. Some images with the 200 1.8 EF L on the 5D2
Well, Gregory, we can only make suggestions.
BTW, although off topic, I like your 50 f/1.0 shots: old cart, the Beetle, crabapple, cart, hamburger and the pooch.....very nice use of the lens.
I've read 2 comparions between the Canon 200L, Nikon 200 and Leica R 180 2.0 - Brainiac preferred the Canon slightly, and Phan Minh Son preferred the Leica if I recall correctly. I'd be interested to hear your conclusions.
So I got the EOS/Nikon F Adaptor but instead of posting some of those boring shots. Like really who cares
I "finally" found a decent subject that was kind enough to let me take her picture. Taken with the single light from 75 watt kitchen light, hand held. This friend of mine, hates having her picture taken, and I had to really beg to get her to even get these. From experience with her, I only get about three seconds before I get the pained I hate having my picture taken look. Three seconds is somtimes an eternity. I squeezed off about half a dozen frames, but the last one was my favorite. Even better in B+W but I am going have my pal Steve do the B+W conversion.

Thanks Tran,
Iv got some wheel chair hockey this weekend and really looking forward to using the 200 1.8 IF-ED EF L and 5D2 combo. Iv shot at event before and these "enabled" athletes are always a real inspiration for me. Last time I used the Nikkor 300 2.0 IF-ED AI-s but it was a little tight. The 200 mm 1.8 should be perfect.

Thanks you guys. Im new to the Canon section of the FM forum, so thanks for going easy on me. .....
Welcome to the brighter side.
Not to be overly picky, but rather in the interest of avoiding confusion, you could start out by referring to your new lens by it's correct name - Canon EF 200mm f/1.8L USM.
I have one. It's the biggest reason I never considered buying any Nikon gear.

Gregory, just a friendly reminder about the lens name to avoid the confusion. At first, i thought you are using the adapter for Nikon body Thanks to Petkal and WmPat has cleared me out. Great shots again - 200L1.8 colors, sharpness and bokeh is so good on these samples.

I took this shot at a little cemetary near where I used to live in south Calgary. I nearly burned out my eye's getting the sun behind the cross with my face in snow. I rested my hand under the camera lens to keep it warm and dry
Duffguy, I know it looks new. So pretty shinny and white.
I regret the first ding it will more than likely get from daily use. I do try to be careful. It did come with a lens coat, still in the package. And I did try it on, but it was so ugly,. I couldnt keep it on. Not to mention the middle peice with the plastic on made it impossible to change the settings. Not sure who designed that thing?
I do have a Aquatech sports sheild that I will be using in the wet snow/rain.
Thank Mttran, sorry about the confusion. Thanks for the kind words about the images.
