I have been busy in the last couple of years. Look like I am way behind the curve now! I will travel to Italy next year for a musical festival. I still love my 5D II, but I need a lighter camera with good video ability. Manual audio level is must (for recording music performance).
I know GH2 get it, but it is still a little too big to my taste. Does any NEX camera or the GF camera have it? Or maybe the OM PEN digital?

Nex cameras don't have it, unless you get the VG-20.
Either way, I'd just get a small, cheap, external audio recorder from someone like Zoom or Tascam. There's even a new Tascam mic that'll plug directly into an iPhone, if you have one of those.

Thanks for the information. I wish Nex had it, because it is the one I like the most overall.
I just need decent quality audio, and want a simple portable solution with great video quality. Anyway I just ordered a Roland R-05 recorder and will try to find a mounting solution.
