Are the older Nikon flashes (sb25 for example) ok to use with a D80? I just want to make sure before buying a older flash that there isn't a issue with voltage and blowing out the camera. Such as using a Vivitar 283 high voltage unit on the hot shoe of a digital camera. THANKS!

speedlights.net says it has a trigger voltage of 4 volts, so it is okay.

I have used both SB-28 and SB-25 on D80 & D300. Set the flash to "A" mode (auto,) not TTL.

Any Nikon flash of the past 25 years or so that has an A mode should work if you can live with that mode.
