I finally updated my profile w/a link to my smugmug page. My info (bottom of my posts) shows a SM icon. Great, right? So why when I click on it does it try to take me to a FredMiranda thread?

What'd I do?

You need to include the "http://" in the link.

Perhaps the code to generate the links changed and they were not all corrected. I'm sure Fred could fix it.

I did a simple copy and paste when I set mine up. His should be http://www.awacs.smugmug.com and not go through Fred's site. Yes Fred could fix it, so could he I belive

The problem is the OP set his link in his profile to:

awacs.smugmug.com

Which the forum processes as a <a href="awacs.smugmug.com"> and is correctly processed by your browser (according to HTTP rules) as http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/awacs.smugmug.com, since the base directory for this discussion is www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic

The OP needs to set the link in his profile to:

http://www.awacs.smugmug.com

Which the forum will process as a <a href="http://www.awacs.smugmug.com"> which will then be processed by your browser (according to HTTP rules) correctly.
