p.1 #1 · ok what's this ?

Taken at 4:1 and focus stacked - about an 8mm frame width. Found two patches of this on the lawn the other day about 1 sq inch each.

I'm guessing it might be a slime mould but really no idea.

Neat shot. Looks more like eggs than mould, but I'm no expert.

KC - I think there was just too much of this around for it to be eggs plus there is a large variation in the sizes which would be unusual for eggs.

Concensus view is that it is indeed a slime mould. It had all disappeared the next morning after some light rain.
