Out of curiosity, did you pay with Paypal? If so, you can claim against them if something goes wrong....or you can in the UK anyway.

There are two very reputable used lens dealers out of Japan, They ship fast, I had a 500mm f/4.5 sigma Ex but not Dg , I received it in perfect order , I didnt like the flair level , returned and full refund includinig shipping so out of pocket was my shipping back($55). THe good ones are rated by ebay as best sellers!
