p.1 #1 · Metallic: Polar pearl vs Slickrock pearl

I knew and loved Kodack metallic.
Laterly I have been printing on Polar pearl Metallic. It is not Kodak but close and I can print on Epson. Problem is the longest size they have is 17x25" ----It is weird that they do 13x38" but not 17"x38"--- and no roll.
Now I have been reading about Slickrock metallic, that has 17"rolls.
Does any one has the opportunity to compare these two papers?
For the matter, comparing Polar pearl Metallic with any other inkjet metallic paper? for inkjet.

it's widely believed that most all of the metallic papers are sourced from Mitsubishi

They may do rolls for 24". They do rolls for 13" but there is no roll for 17", go figure!!

I am getting sample for Slickrock metallic, that makes roll for 17". I hope it will be as good as Polar pearl.

all inkjet metallic papers are made by a single vendor - Mitsubishi. Buy the cheapest.

I also personally printed on about 4 different kinds, and as long as I was using the same profile, no difference I can tell. I concur with the above conclusion.

You can check the specs of the papers as well: basically identical. I've printed on several types and made similar comparisons as Niel (Danecreek). Probably most telling though---the rolls of media were packed exactly the same (at least at the time I did my testing)---using the same small piece of masking tape that ruins the first foot or so of media. There have been a couple new releases that are different. None quite approach what Kodak's Endura Metallic can produce, though the inkjet media cousins are much gentler/better for skin tones.

Breathing Color may be releasing their own metallic substrate, and I'd expect this to be a very different offering from the current market.

Hello, I am new to the group so if this was covered on another thread please forgive.
I am interested in printing on metallic paper on an Epson 7890. I was also told that all of the metallic papers were Mitsubishi. Of late several things have happened and I am looking for conformation and or additional information. I have printed on Red River and Ink Press Gloss metallic. Ink Press said there paper is not Mitsubishi, and it is a little different looking then Red River and is more then twice the price as of today. Breathing Color also states that their paper is not Mitsubishi.
Has anyone tried the Red River, and the Breathing Color? If so please let me know what you think.
