...this camera may improve your images. I may had confused it with "lypstick".

Big discussions at DPR's site. Very reasonable price (actually a consumer can actually buy one of these) too unlike Raytrix (rayrix.de). Time will tell if this indeed will be the future of photography. Right now, you really need to increase PC horsepower and increase cheap storage since you get a hit in resolution otherwise (i.e., a 10Mpix system would yield a 1MPix image). Still, a few years back, I read that they are actually thinking about creating sensors that are equavalent to 100 (or more) sensors in todays technology to fit the same area. Believe this type of sensor could definitely be the game changer that would let lightfield processing to be the new norm.

In a strange way this would make photography into almost strictly into a "rationalized" post shooting process.

You can do a few interesting things with it, but subject selection, POV, composition, etc. remain necessary. It could be an interesting tool, however.

As my main motivation is retouching, that wouldn't bother me too much. lol

Still, Aunti's right. The subject still needs to be set up or you will still have a stapshot capture as opposed to a money shot. Photogs job is still safe (for now; lol).
