I'm listing my Canon 300 f/4 Non -IS L lens for sale. I would like $820.00 shipped, and paypalled. (I turned paypal into a verb!)
It comes with the hood (attached), both caps, and the tripod collar.
Focus is fast, and accurate. Sharpness is excellent.
I will post pictures of the product later this evening. I've got perfect FM feedback (having just recently sold my Canon 5D here, feedback pending since I sold it to a new user), and I've got excellent eBay feedback (for UNDERSCORE the UNDERSCORE win) having been a member for 12 years.
If you've got any questions, PM me.
I am selling it, because I just don't use it. I told myself I'd like to get to the zoo with it this year, but I'm just too busy shooting other things and watching my son grow up, to go there.
I'll include with it an old Canon FD lens case. The item will be packaged superbly, and you'll be enjoying your product very quickly. I ship within 24 hours of payment. I only ship to a confirmed address through Paypal, and you must sign for the package.

I'm 2 hours east of Pittsburgh, and like 6 from Philly. I don't mind a reasonable meet, but Even half way from Philly is just too far.
@Reno, thanks!
@tangle, yeah part of the reason I bought this version instead of the is version was specifically it being a sharper performer. Many people know I enjoy the 7d and high density sensors require the best glass.
From what I've read the 300 f4 non is is the optical equivalent to the 300 f/2.8 of the same vintage.
I've received offers on the lens, but right now I'm not negotiable. I feel my price is very fair, and I could ask much more for a lens that is this clean.
If I list it on eBay, you can be sure I'll be asking more and not paying shipping
Right now the only trades I would be interested in would be a 24L. And even still I would prefer the cash.
One great lens, priced fairly, by a straight shooting guy.
Those pictures above tell the story anyways.
I assure you that lens is consistently very sharp, all copies I've owned or seen.
The AF drive speed is also very good, so much so that the lens has been one of my most favourite BIF tools for years and I still use it today.
Yes, it is sharper than a typical 300 f/4 IS copy. If it wasn't, I wouldn't be hanging onto it , instead I would have kept the IS copy I sold several years ago.
