I didnt notice them either, until the second image.

I really like the burst of sunlight through the leaf. Interesting angle, unusual and creative point of view.
The patterns under the leaf are interesting.
I find the color of the leaf unappealing and flat. Have you played with the hue?

To take some color license, you could bump the hue slider on the Yellows to make it less yellow and more green.
