Rick, very nice set for your Quebec City, Canada photos! Were the street photos taken by Zeiss 24-70?

Ocean,

Yes 24-70 Zeiss with the A900 is my favorite walk-around - albeit a bit heavy.

I didn't know so many people checked this thread out. Cool! Alwang, I'm also looking forward to some A99 pics (unfortunately, not from me).
Mortyb, I've been quite liberal with the clarity slider in Lightroom… So I'm not sure the images represent the Minolta 17-35 all that well. To be honest, I feel there's a difference between it and the 28-135, in the latter's favour. But maybe I should reevaluate… In fact, I was thinking of converting a C/Y Zeiss 18/4 to Sony. However, it's an AE, so I don't know where to start from (I've seen some mount conversions on flickr, but the guy that did them didn't respond to my message).
Sebboh, I thought you had an A55, did you get rid of it?

yeah, i sold it. it was my birding camera for use with the leica R 350/4.8, but the NEX-7 turned out to be better in that regard due to the better evf and peaking (extra detail was nice too).

Testing out my new ZA 24mm f2 lens on an A900 - I must admit it is really quite sharp and the colors seems right.

Starting to enjoy my new-to -me 24 f2 Zeiss lens on my A900. It really balances well on the A900 - very very sharp - and the colors are wonderful - (for some reason this lens never got very good reviews?)

It didnt get too good reviews cause 1) few samples flared quite a bit 2) it has field curvate, lots of it. But, when one forgets this tech stuff and just shoot, its pretty nice lens and I seen quite a lot of nice pics done with it.

So, dont worry.. just enjoy.

I really like the 3rd image - composition it is perfect.

Meanwhile thanks for the compliment - lately I have been struggling with post process - I have been upping the contrast and saturation far too often - so now I am working on keeping things a little less "Hot".
