is this a sony/minolta lens thread or alpha mount camera thread? just curious as i have an a55, but my only native alpha mount lens (if you can call it that) is the rokinon 85/1.4.
Very nice shot indeed. I much prefer the composition when it's made into a square starting from the bottom and cropping part of the top off but that's just me.

I can definitely see where you're coming from, and if the 135 didn't capture so much detail in the trees I would've found myself more motivated to crop.

The texture in the tree leaves is gorgeous. It might even be that if you cropped to 8x10 proportions, you would end up with that nice detail but still have more visual emphasis on the couple. All just nitpicking as it's a really gorgeous shot.

Thanks! Some of the shots you and Edward have posted are really what convinced me to get give Sony a chance, and it did not disappoint. I'm really looking forward to see what the A77 will bring to the table.
McGrattan, i'm very flattered that any of my photos could have influenced your decision. Your shots are lovely. I like very much the one taken with the 24-70.
Debuggerus, very nice 3D on the first one. Lovely kids
The only disappointment with the lens is that it's a DT series lens for APS-C. It covers FF just fine, although it might get a little weak in the corners on FF.
