It was me who suggested you post it here.

You mentioned that you couldn't get infinity focus with it. Would it be possible to get it closer to the sensor without hitting the mirror?

No I tried, it kept slamming the mirror and that kinda freaked me out.

This is all sort of happening really fast, 3 pretty big blogs want to feature my conversion blog, and I've been getting so many emails its hard to keep up.

Anyone have any ideas about mounting medium format lenses from the old folding cameras? Those definitely shouldn't hit the mirror!

I have a couple 6x6 and 6x9 that I wouldn't mind taking the lens off, if I knew it would work properly.

Get a cheapest 500mm mirror lens you can find, take out the mirror and use the barrel and helicoid to mount and focus that old lens.
