The fedex guy dropped off a 50 1.4 for me today so I had to sneak out during lunch and take a string of test shots. For all the crap people talk bad about that lens, it's not THAT bad (from my first impression). I took a string of shots trying to test it close/wide open, close/stopped down, far/wide open, far/stopped down. True it's not broken glass sharp close up wide open but it doesn't look bad on my 5D.

Edward - Great street. It feels like a stage scene. Very theatrical moment. Really nice details and color here.

Wayne - Great set with 135. I am not quite sure whether I would ever need that focal length, but your shots make me wonder.

Ronny - Great set as always. I really like that pond shot. Great sky.

hiepphotog - Very interesting PP on your shots. Dubai sky scraper shot is very interesting, almost unreal.

Z- Very nice framing !

Thank you Luka. In fact, the Burj Khalifa picture did not get any PP in color. I just adjusted the exposure and contrast a bit to recover some highlights. I guess it's mainly due to the heavy vignette on the 21 that made it surreal...
