Thank's Bill.. Glad your like the shot's
Is really nothing special I'm doing .. I run no form of stacking at my pictures
Only one exposure and 99.9% handheld
often with tube .. My zeiss macro lens has a Magnification Ratio of 1:2
The wins with tubes on zeiss 100 MP and 50 MP is Magnification Ratio
with the right tube I can get 1:1 and a little better focus distance also
Please ask if there is anything specific you are wondering about
take it through PM in that case
Thanks for your nice Comment

This is taken with my #2 favorite lens (new to the kit, but % usage is very high lately).

Macro 55mm f/3.5 @ f/8, M2 extension tube, SB-25 flash (also repaired by me), D7000, handheld.

Kevin, that is one gnarly looking spider. how big is that thing? eek

I really need to find me a copy of that lens, given it is so affordable. It seems to have so much more depth of field at close range than regular lenses.

Hey thanks Peter! Look at the first digit of your thumb and you will get an approximate size. The lens is optimal at f/8 and at the 1:10 line on the focus ring. Add in the M2 and the crop factor and we are right around 1:2. Oh, this shot is only cropped to 5x7 perspective. So very close to OOC size.

Ronny, you continue to impress.

I took a couple shots yesterday at 8:1... Wow, talk about hard. Conditions need to be ideal and still. I will post those soon. One immediate observation is that it shows every speck of dust or dirt either on the sensor or lens...

As promised... Want to see what 8:1 looks like? Here you go! (I know the focus is a bit off, I took these outdoors in available light and it was windy...merely a test). 150mm worth of extension tubes with a reversed 28/3.5 in front and my D7000 of course. I believe f/11 to get some DOF. At this magnification, you can see every little dust speck on the sensor and lens...

Both shots are from a Dianthus flower which is smaller than a US quarter.

The top of the stamen is less than 1mm.

Hey Guys!

Ok, so I'm going from lurker to poster ! Please give me your input and critiques, don't be afraid to be harsh if that's your opinion. It's shot using a canon FL135mm 3.5 on a full stack of tubes. I think I was at F11? The camera was on a tripod and I used some fill flash.

one more to add to the mix! This one was shot with a Tamron 70-210F4 macro lens. I believe i was around F9 or so with a full stack of tube, tripod and flash.
