p.1 #1 · Changing A 40D Internal Battery?

I finally got my replacement refurbished 40D bodies from Canon. I'm still testing but one of them resets the time when changing the battery. Is this the internal battery?

anyway I have emailed them. Where is this battery and how to change it?

Yes, it is probably the lithium coin cell. Replace it as decribed in the manual.

Check the manual, but it's inside the main battery compartment (in the older cameras like the D60 it was in a separate compartment in the base of the body).

It's a CR2016 lithium battery. If you don't have a 40D manual, you can download one from Canon Canada.
