Note how her pupils are dilated from the darkness in this next shot. She was walking pretty fast, so I didn't want the shutter below 1/200, at f/2.8, ISO3200. The shot is noisy but if there had been more light her pupils wouldn't look like that. http://www.JustPhotos.ca/post/soccer/ME1D036097.jpg
"If you are involved with MUN soccer or are in any of these photos and would like to a higher resolution copy (without the frames) in order to get prints made, just email me and I will be pleased to provide you with a free digital file."
It's nice to see coverage of Canadian college athletics. Women's (and men's) soccer ouI know out here in BC just does not attract the media or fans which is hard to figure out as our teams are top 10 NAIA teams.
I like your shots here and in your gallery and I share your pain of shooting at 1600 2.8 all the time in order to get a shot that *may* not be blurry.
As for providing photos for free, shame on you! You know how well compensated a Canadian University student is and how their tution, fees, books and board and lodging are paid for and that thier college career is but a springboard to a life of wealth and luxury in the well paying Canadian sports market.
