Here's some snaps from a recent youth soccer game. It was my first time using the D700 and 70-300VR combo. All shot between 200-300mm wide open. I also have a 70-200VR and am having trouble deciding which to keep.
i just shot a bunch of landscapes using it. the VR version is much better than the older non-VR one but nether are as sharp in the center at the long end as the 70-200/2.8 with the 1.4X extender at the long end. however, the far corner sharpness of the 70-300VR is better than the 70-200 if you are not using the 1.4 on the 70-200.

Love the photos, bunch of cute kids.
Thanks for posting, Terry
I agree! Can't really pick a favorite since they're all so cute. Sure looks like they're having a great time. Also, I'm impressed with the shots you got with that lens. I use it with my D300 and love the results.

Great shots! Those kids are so cute! I just received that lens today but haven't had the chance to really try it out but I am pleased with a few test shots at 300mm, even at wide open.
