It wont light up constantly? I was shooting at night and the AF assist was giving me problems. It would light up only when it wants to, but not all the time. is there something wrong with the camera?
The AF-assist meets its temperature and when it is hot it stops till it is cooled down. When you have a SB800 you can switch off the flash part and use IR grid to focus. I always switch off the AF-assist and can AF till it is so dark I have to start using the flash.
what do you mean it meets its temperature? like the usage of the light getting hot? i had 3 lights that i wanted to fire, but i couldnt get the camera to click cause it was too dark to focuse, and the light wouldnt even light up.
