Really...so that's the diagonal blackout. I'm sorry to hear it. I guess a D1x won't be under warranty either.
Makes an interesting shot, anyway. Good luck with a repair at fair rate.
Even worse--its a D1H, so they repair rate would be nearly as much as getting another camera. Unfortunately I live in Mongolia and getting a used D1H here, even shipped from the US, would be a nightmare.
I thought about reshooting this idea with my other camera (thank goodness i have another!) but decided to leave it as stands with the broken shutter blackout and all.
Thanks Dave--This is my first weekly assignment, but from what I've seen of old assignments you're one of the heavy hitters around here. I'll have to brush off my other, lesser used camera, camera now that the 'ole D1H is dead so I can keep competing!
