After some time away, I thought I might come around again and enter a couple of weekly assignments. In the past, I found entering made me a better photograper, and I quite enjoyed the process.
Imagine my horror when I seen people voting to reject entries sans EXIF data. Now, typically my shots will have EXIF, with the correct shooting date, but the problem is that they won't pass any sort of automated test looking for manipulation, cause I do manipulate the EXIF. It is necessary. Why? Well, um, I mostly shoot film. I think all, or close to all, of my previous entries have been shot on film. So, I like to fix up the EXIF so I know where, when, etc. it was shot, but it'll never pass people looking for manufacturer generated data.
Just plea from the one guy still shooting film....
I have a similar question as I do sometimes shoot film, but more commonly, shoot digital with my Pentax lenses, which leaves my photos with incomplete EXIF data.
