p.1 #1 · European Women's Basketball

I’ve spent a season shooting women's basketball in Poland. The gyms are comparable to high school gyms in the US. Most have very poor lighting, and some have extremely harsh lighting from one side due to a wall of windows. The light in these gyms chang throughout the games as the weather changes outside. These images are shot at ISO 1200-1600 and F2-2.5 to have enough light. Strobes were not allowed.
Canon 40D
Lenses used: 50mm 1.8, 85mm 2.0, 135 2.0L.
C&C appreciated.

1 & 5 work the best for me. 5 has the most action, and 1 is a pretty good composition - although maybe a bit too square. More lower body would have improved it a bit I feel.

2 seems rather soft - maybe from noise reduction - and it's a shame that the tall girl's right foot and hand are cut off. Whether the frame needs a ball as well? Yeah, probably. Nice freeze on number 3, but the background isn't helping things.

4 has a rather greenish tint on my monitor, but otherwise it's quite good.
