with all these fabulous owl shots posted on the forum lately , maybe I should be posting something different. lol But since that is all I have been trying to shoot, I have nothing else to show This year has been a tough owl season, we surely dont have the numbers of owls that we had last year, having said that, I didnt even see one Great Grey last year, and this year seems all I can find Just got my MarkIII, seems to shoot straight
Oh wow - these are absolutely stunning, Keith. Love the action shots - the detail, poses, light. I'd be framing all of these. Delightful to see, as I have never witnessed anything like this. Thanks so much for sharing.
Fantastic!!! I love #6 and #1. #6, the snowy owl, looks as if it is staring right through you with those glowing yellow eyes and the wing placement/detail really adds a nice compositional element to the photo. One of my favorite shots!!
Beautiful series !! I really like the last image with the 'evil looking eyes' .
Congratulation on your new camera. Enjoy it. It seems like that there were a lot more chances I failed the camera than the camera failed me. The 1DMk3 is pretty amazing. Thank you for sharing, good shooting and stay warm, Keith.
Alright Kieth now this is unfair!
I have done a lot of owl shooting in MN with some success, but nothing like these images!
Your owls making the strike are superb. Now I know how easy it is to get the GGO's in flight, but the hawk owls... that's another story! You really nailed the hawk owl images. That last shot is too cool for words! I've been out in -17F weather to make pics like that, but never produced a stunner like your shot!
