I got a rock'n' testimonial from a from a bride from last year:
"A wedding is such a special occasion and so much time and effort goes into planning it. You will want to live that magical day again and again through your photographs. If you want your memories to be captured in a beautiful and artistic way, Martin can create that for you. His photographs are unique and expressive. These are not photos you will hide away in an album but display as works of art."
I am wondering if it would be a good thing to put it on my website though? Does anyone have an opinion about testimonial? Also where should I put it, if I should put it anywhere at all?
It seems like we are seeing more and more photogs have a blog with testimonials or a testimonials page and I think it's got to be terribly effective. It's like second to word of mouth to hear someone say that, perhaps if you can get the bride to leave a number you could allow potential brides to call them for reference.. maybe. We have wanted one but are trying to figure out how to ask them for such a testimonial. I am interested to hear people talk about this as well, good topic.
I don't have them though any marketing class i have done have said they are in fact a powerful marketing tool.
I would not put on too many though, no more than seven. I think if you put on too much to read clients may be inclined to pass over.
After I shoot my clients wedding and deliver their final product in an email I thank them for choosing me and if they wouldn't mind writing up something that tells about their experience working with me that I can post on my website. Simple as that and yes it is a good selling tool.
ok looks like I should add it to my site. Looking at my website, where would be the best place to put it? I would prefer not to have to add a testimonial page.
I had a bride last year say as she was picking up her album that she would be glad to give me a reference.
So when a recent enquirey asked I said I would, with their permission, forward their details to her, He gave his permission I emailed the client and said I wanted to take up her offer.
No probs, job booked

On your home slideshow I would fade the images a bit and put the text on top of them.
So you think I should take one image from the home page slideshow, fade it back some and overlay the testimonial text? I think I like the idea. Anyone else have an opinion?
