We all get caught up in the little things that surround us ,but sometimes lose sight of the bigger things going on,some of us anyway.
I was wondering If there were anysights that people could post pictures to,that the troops overseas had access to also. Something that would remind them of home so to speak.Maybe there's troops form around where you live, maybe they would like to see whats going on back there.Maybe a picture of someplace cool,or kids playing in the snow.
I was reminded of it by a series of pictures my uncle sent to me showing the troops overseas, that get exposed to many things we can't even comprehend.
Do any of you know of a site or sites that would cater to our troops? I just thought it might be a cool idea, condidering we're all trying to make our pictures better, maybe a few photos would help them out too!
Just a thought......
Thanks I didn't know about that.So much for sharing things with our troops. All the technology we have compared to other countries and our troops are no better off at all.
I'm beginning to think the Gov't is doing nothing but covering its own behind.
It's almost as bad as what happend to me a few months back.A marina had recently updated its docks and facilities.Well I happened to be down there taking pics of a Swan.It had found a home on what was left of the old docks. There were nails sticking up and broken boards.Well they obviously didn'rt want to have pics taken of the squalor they had left behind.
Someone came up behind me and said hey what are you taking pictures of .I told him the swan who was just below us.He tells me that I can't take pics here theres a power plant just across the harbor, and that homeland security forbids taking pics of possible targets.then he asks where i live and I told him just up the street, where I have lived for some time.Next he tells me I'm on private property, when theres a sign about 100feet away saying its a public walkway. He tells me thats where it ends.Next he basically says leave the premesis.
I told him I would be back sometime to see the swan, maybe I would bring my child along,so he could kick her out too.He never did bother saying anything else, but I think If he had the chance he probably would.
I swear sometime we are our own worst enemy.
