p.1 #1 · Tears of Joy

This is our Aunt Sophie with her daughter in law, taken yesterday at her surprise 80th birthday party. I was unofficially the party photographer which should keep me busy over the next few days processing close to 100 images for friend's and relatives. I thought this was one of the more dramatic shots...for once a Happy occasion.

Nice moment Steven. I did a wedding reception for a friend's daughter yesterday using on and off camera flash, first time for that sort of thing. I prefer situations where I have plenty of time and control all the elements much better..

Howdy Steven,

Very nicely done, the emotion of the scene comes through loud and clear.

The B&W strengthens the image even more.

I'm with Albert, these types of shooting situations bring in a lot of outside pressure.

Thanks Craig, I took lots of posed shots during this event, but it's the candid shots like this one that really make it worth while.
