let's say un-interesting. the high sun angle, featureless sky, eye level camera angle, and too tight frame (crop?) pulled the life from it. shot wider, the lines may have added some context.
what was your vision before releasing the shutter? best...skip

I'm just a neophyte at B&W conversion myself so you can take this for what it's worth. I tend to agree about the "dull" nature of the picture. In my mind a good B&W needs to have either a really strong subject, a compelling composition or some "pop" to the lighting. Of course a combination of all three will work as well. On this shot my preference would be to go tighter, rather than wider. At the very least I'd crop out the sky. And try bumping up the contrast and pulling down the shadows a wee bit to make the shot a bit more intense. Keep shooting...

I appreciate the feedback, thank you.

It's funny, sometimes if you look at a photograph you've long enough it looks good (even when it's lacking... ).

Thanks again...

Well, could have been better

How about stepping back 3-4 feet, moving to camera left probably 6 feet, sitting down and shooting with the camera propped on your knees. I see a boat in a sea of grass. Not sure what else was there, but that was my first instinct.

Hope this is positive and helpful.

Fishit -

I am having a hard time understanding you, can you clarify what you are trying to say?

Image is also a little uninteresting to me, but a bump in contrast would help this image a ton.

skipc is correct I did not post to this thread and can not explain how this got here.
I will delete the pictures, they were posted in another thread, I did not post them twice.

Not sure what happened but sorry for any confusion.
