I found this male at a local park last week, he was feeding off of insects on a tree and I was lucky he worked his way into the sunlit portion of the trunk for a few moments.

Last night I saw the same bird and realized what he was after, there were ladybugs for dinner! You can see a bug in the frame in this shot.

Nice shots Laura,

love the fact that there's a little Ladybug in the second shot giving us a size comparison.

Congratulations..... Looks like he/she was rather close to the ground or at eye level for you.

thanks tTm, yes these are quite small for a woody, not much bigger than a robin and quick!
