I would've lowered the aperture a bit ( f8 ) with ISO 200 but that's just nit-picking

Thanx for the data about the bird ID! I just shot at F13 cause want to be sure about the dark background. The real BG was ugly at all. Thanx for your words.

Sometimes also called a blue and gold macaw--perhaps more of a pet trade name, but I'm not sure.
I have a B&G macaw named Chico. He's been my buddy for about 15 years now, and I got him when he was five weeks old. They are VERY smart and have incredibly funny and curious dispositions.
Very nice portrait, BTW. I find it very difficult to get good pictures of Chico.
