thehotel Offline Image Upload: Off p.1 #1 · Stop & Go Pheasant Hunt Stop & Go Pheasant Hunt After the early morning shoot at the Bosque we decided to drive the farm loop road a couple of times. Barbara was driving and we planned on doing stop & go shots. We saw something move ahead on the bank so Barbara slowed up REAL slow and when I said now she stopped since I already had the door open she was stopped for only a instant. I stepped down into the bank across the road from the Pheasant. The Pheasant was watching the car as Barbara continued on down the road until she was out of site. I am glad she left #1 I saw her leave what do I hear now #2 I hear something but don't see anything #3 Sounds like a Canon shutter to me #4 I didn't get this old and gooood looking by being careless. I ask this because I tried getting closer on them (from behind) a few times but the closest I managed was like 90 feet!! waaaay to far even for the 70-300mm + 1.4 Tc! I even tried the " low down against the wind" technique but to no avail ! males seem more nervous than females! Thx for sharing....I wish I could get this shots since I have no pheasants shots yet!
