This coyote was standing on the railroad tracks watching the train coming towards him. Taken with a Canon 1DMk2 + 100-400mm F4.5-5.6 L IS lens near Lake Louise, Alberta.
I've spent the last 2 months (well over 100hrs) stalking them, calling them, dousing my camo in scent block trying to put a library of Coyotes together and otherwise trying to be as invisible as them. I'm not sure if you realise just how fortunate you we're to get such a great image, they are unbeleivably elusive and wary.
Thats not to take away by implying luck, simply a nod in getting a great shot of a very hard subject.
