Over the last few years, I've taken a wide angle lens a tripod, and a remote shutter release to get long exposure photos of the fireworks in our town of Winchester Massachusetts. The last time I did this, I phoned it in, and just let the intervalometer rip and got both a few good shots and a time lapse of the whole event.
This year, I wanted to mix things up and brought a 35-150 zoom lens, left the tripod at home, sat down in a lawn chair fired away. The results are pretty different and make me excited to do it again next year.
