The Canon service center in NJ has my rig.
Just wondering if they will call or email me a tracking number when they ship it back?
Do they use UPS or FedEx?
Assuming you provided an email address when you sent it in several things will happen.
1. When it gets into thier system (mine took about a week from the time it arrived) you will get an email that says they have it, along with an estimate of the cost ($0 if warranty work) to fix the problem you gave for sending it in for service.
2. Several days later you will get letters stating the same thing. Go figure.
3. When the work is completed they will email you tracking number(s).
If it goes anything like my recent experience with NJ service you'll get the tracking email about three hours before your stuff is actually delivered.
I did the online thing to get a Work number, but then I also received a letter from Canon stating that my camera was in the repair dept's hands.
They also told me that they would ship it back FedEx overnight, same as what mbellot said, while mine is still there, I'm "patiently" waiting for it to get back!
