I just wanted to show off some of my D2X images that i shot through all 12 rounds of the Outdoor National Motocross series, please feel free to comment, Enjoy
Its a graphic intensive and flash...not a good combo, best bet is to typin in the url to IE and try it that way with everything else closed down...Sorry, there are 299 images, pretty worth it if you can make it work for ya, good luck
haha...yes, quite dirty i know...darn Motocross bikes
My G/F Danya designed the slideshow, totally custom ( as far as i know ) we ( i mean SHE ) is working on a digital submission engine that will work along the same lines, and if well recieved from our clients, we may offer it commercially for a fee...the only downside ( if it can be considered one ) is that it would be web based and the client would have to review submission while on hi-speed. im not going to leak the details of the look and what exactly it will do just yet ... hehe
Thank you all for the kind replies, best newbie experience i ever had
OK, with that slick D2X pro web site and the continual flood of excellent imagery I will abandon my love for the D2H and I will be working an X into my 2006 budget. I have NAS once again and you are to blame Tony!
Enjoyed the presentation but I had to speed it up hehe
Slide show went pretty quick for me.
Probably the best bunch of MX pics I`ve seen yet.
Great framing and top notch work on your part obviously, and it`s utterly amazing what a mere $5 grand and a good zoom can do.
John (green with envy)
make that a mere 13 grand ( alot of these shots, my d2X was mated to my 400 2.8 ) Add to that about 15 years of shooting Amateur MX and another 5 or 6 of pro ( but who's counting )
Thanks alot for the kind words everyone, im thrilled you guys enjoyed the show
Awesome series. MX is my favorite sport but I missed Washougal this year. I would loved to have had my D2X and 70-200VR lens but I couldn't get a hotel. I shot the McChord Air Show instead.
Did you ever find your 400 too long? Were you any of the photogs in the series?
All of those are sharp, have great contrast and gorgeous saturation.
Thank you for the words, Washougal is one of my favorite tracks in the series, just beautiful up there and im sure you can spot the photos that are washougal I am not in the series but i have a few lame photos of myself on my website www.TonyScavo.com ( shameless plug ) in my bio. Yes i do occasionally find my 400mm too long, more often than i dont actually, but when it snapped onto one of my F5's...it was like sex with a goddess, perfect everything! The tog holding his hand out checking for rain is Simon Cudby, the one shooting at me is a good friend Rodney Webb ( and very talented shooter ) the fellow emptying his shoe of Millville dirt is N.Y shooter Karl Ockert ( BTW, my girlfriend Danya shot both the pic of Simon and Karl ) and the infamous character picking his nose just before the start of the first 125cc race of the year at hangtown is none other than Joe " doesnt blow his nose " Bonnello...another very good friend.
The D2X has exceeded all of my expectations for the outdoors and im still falling in love with this camera, its been a major workhorse. My only complaint is that the high iso ability just isnt quite as good as Canon...its not even close enough for me to switch, no way...ergo's, color, focusing...Nikon blows canon away IMO...but Canon does beat the Nikon in higher iso ranges.
