My last post before Christmas, I am leaving to the countryside this afternoon.

Both with D7100 + modded TC16A + Nikkor 600mm f/4 AF-S II [=960mm f/6.4] + tripod, ISO 400, f/5.6 (in fact x 1.6 = f/9) at 1/160s. ~40-50% cropped image. The birds were ~30m of distance.

Exif shows 145mm lens and f/ stops not multiplied by 1.6.
You need to manual prefocus roughly and then the TC-16A autofocus.
Focus is surprisingly responsive and accurate.
